Throughout my journey to become a therapist, I would often be asked the same question: What made me want to become a therapist? The more I learned about myself and who I wanted to become, the clearer the answer became. As a therapist, my goal is to always help my clients leave my sessions inspired to become the best versions of themselves.
Imagine life as a race, and the finish line represents everything you want to achieve. On this journey, you'll face numerous obstacles that might seem insurmountable. I want all my clients to conquer these challenges and reach the goals they aspire to achieve.
I have experience working in various settings, including home-based, in jails, residential facilities, schools, and in foster care settings. I am a diligent and motivated therapist dedicated to assisting my clients in achieving success and becoming the best versions of themselves. I utilize a variety of therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, strength-based approaches, and person-centered therapy.
My passion lies in helping preteens, teenagers, and adults who struggle with various issues, such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, men's issues, school-related challenges, self-esteem, peer relationships, and daily stressors.
As an African American male, I firmly believe that an effective therapist should commit to continuous learning and development.
